Mission or Service? (via Loaded Dice)

Friend and fellow Div School alum Tristan Orozco reflects on an important aspect of church ministry: mission; in particular, mission trips. How do we conceive of our task to do God’s work in the world–is it a product of safety and comfort “calculus”? Or does it require something of us that may challenge our settled notions of comfort and safety? Is it ever as simple as safe v. unsafe? comfortable v. uncomfortable?
